Shipping / DOA Policy
Shipping:
TUSI Corals will only ship to the 48 continental US states.
All items are shipped priority overnight using either FedEx or UPS as the only two preferred carriers. Depending on your location, next day air delivery times can range from 10:30AM-4:30PM. It is a flat rate fee of $60 which includes all shipping and handling. All orders $450 and above comes with free shipping. Next day air shipments are not “guaranteed” to arrive on time. No refunds or credits will be given for shipping under any circumstances. You must be present to sign for the package on the first delivery attempt, or the DOA Guarantee becomes void. Once the order is placed, TUSI Corals will reach out via email to set up a shipping date to ensure you are available to accept delivery. (Please be sure to check your spam or junk folder if you have not heard from us) We ship with a delivery day of Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Saturday delivery is NOT available. Please include requested ship dates in your order notes, or in a separate email with your order number, and we will do our best to accommodate that date. If for any reason a coral needs more time before shipping to ensure it is healthy enough for delivery we will contact you and let you know.
* If you live in New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Delaware, The Carolinas, Washington, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut or Rhode Island than shipping is discounted to $35.
If in any case you wish to add to an order that has been already placed and not yet shipped, we will refund you the cost of the additional shipping.
You will receive tracking information via email once your order has shipped. All orders can be tracked via the shipping companies website.
Shipping delays that result in the loss of the actual live stock (package) will not be covered under the DOA guarantee. We do NOT credit or refund any shipping cost.
*All specimens are shipped with heavy duty bags or closed screw on lid cups to prevent leaks in styrofoam boxes with a cardboard shell. Depending on where and what time of the year the shipment is going out, heat or cold packs will be packed accordingly.
*Please note, we do not ship right before or during any major US holidays. The risk of shipping during these busy parts of the year is too high.
Standard DOA Guarantee:
We guarantee all of our items to arrive alive. If, for some reason, an item does not arrive alive, you must contact us via email, with detailed pictures of the item within one hour of the package's arrival. If you are not present to sign for the package on the first delivery attempt, this guarantee becomes void. You must notify us via email of DOA corals with in 2 hours of delivery. Do not discard of any corals, or material in the shipment. We have the right to ask you to provide photos of the corals as proof of DOA. If, in our opinion, the item is deemed to be deceased or defective, a credit will be applied to your account. Store credit for DOA will be valid for 6 months from the date of issue. Due to the stress of shipping, many corals do tend to bounce back if arrived DOA. It will be TUSI Corals discretion if a credit will be issued immediately for DOA or not. If not, we will ask that you allow 2-3 weeks for stressed or damaged corals to be re evaluated for DOA.
